A hardworking group of volunteers organized by the Clarkson Business Improvement Association braved the heat wave and installed THREE big planter beds along the Lakeshore in downtown Clarkson. BB supplied plants and advice, and supervised the installation. This project was at the core of a Mississauga Small Projects Community Grant received by the BIA this spring. Preparing these beds was challenging because of they were filled with lily-of-the-valley, an invasive plant that's hard to remove. A heroic effort was made and finally the beds were ready for the native seedlings. See those smiles? It was a happy day!
